From the architect. The project in question was the makeover of a house designed in the 1970s by architect Marcos de Vasconcellos, in Belo Horizonte’s Pampulha neighborhood.
Upon inheriting the house from her father in 2010, the new owner needed to make significant changes to meet her family’s needs – a couple with three children. The main requirement was the integration of the kitchen/dining room with the lounge, previously separated by the foyer. In addition to specific changes to the private quarters (bedrooms, bathrooms and den), the program also included the construction of two new home offices and a covered parking.
