The colorful vernacular Bahian dwellings were the starting inspiration point for developing the Txai House, located in the city of Itacaré, Brazil. While the architects at Studio MK27 envisioned this residence as a place to drink coconut cocktails and sway in the alluring hammocks, these are just secondary aspects one would use to define this complex project. With a total surface of 640 square meters, the imposing two-level structure painted in fresh hues offers panoramic vistas of the coast and an abiding holiday feel.Open and enclosed spaces are overlapped in a living program that pays tribute to functionality and relaxed living: “On the lower floor, we have the living room.
